John Antolik

John Antolik brings over three decades of diverse experience in the financial services industry to his role as founder and managing partner of Blue Ocean Capital Partners. Known for his empathetic leadership and a maximizer's drive for excellence, John blends a competitive edge with an achiever's mindset to deliver exceptional results. His career features sales leadership roles at First Union/Wachovia and early accounting and institutional trust experience at Society Bank/Key, complemented by leadership positions with Moore Capital/Alstra.

John has been instrumental in founding an RIA firm, creating an investor relations platform, and advising on M&A transactions and derisking strategies. His experience includes serving as a director for companies in alternative financial services, consumer products, and hospitality. He has also been involved in customized real estate acquisitions, technology investments, and advising financial institutional CIOs on capital-efficient alternative investments. His career highlights a distinctive combination of deep financial expertise and practical acumen, demonstrating his ability to excel across diverse business landscapes.

John earned his MBA from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bowling Green State University, providing a solid foundation for his career in financial services. His extensive experience has honed his skills in quick responses, attention to detail, and empathy, earning him a reputation for intelligence, strong industry connections, and a strong commitment to his word.

Outside of work, John enjoys live music, traveling, cooking, and playing pickleball. A dedicated sports enthusiast, he follows Cleveland sports franchises with passion. As a Sigma Chi Fraternity alumnus, John mentors young men in leadership, helping them discover their strengths. He cherishes time with his wife, Lara, and their three grown children, Paige, Jenna, and Thomas. On many evenings, you’ll find John and Lara taking beach walks with their dog, Myles.
